You have a great collection of photos! I only wished my uncles would have brought photos back with them. They were with 29th Infantry Division (Blue&Gray) from Omaha Beach to Germany. See the photo-gallery and also my YouTube in the 65th anniversary pics.
Great site!

Hello, MARION! I've come across your site some years ago and and I like it very much. I just love WWII songs and I do enjoy listening them again (very different from the majority of today's MUSIC (?!)- or may be NOISE? I hope I can send you another donation in a short time. My best regards, Sylvio. (By the way, two uncles of mine served during WWII in Brazilian Navy, in the Atlantic, but they didn't get into battle, back then. I was a child then - to 8 years, during the war years).

I am just starting to search for records concerning my late husband, Melvin S. Rosenberry. I have his DD214, but little else so far. He was in the 208th Engineer Combat Battalion during WWII. He wouldn't talk about his experiences but he won 5 bronze stars. I know he saw a lot more than he talked about. If anyone knew him I would welcome any correspondence. This site is a great find!

My Grandmothers' nephew was SGT Joe Specker, Medal of Honor receipient for his actions on Mount Porchia. I enjoyed reading through this series of articles and seeing the photos. Thank you for this website and information.

Enjoyed going through your website. My dad was in the 1303rd and I am going through his archive of stuff and scanning all of his photo's and papers. Trying to figure out where all he had been. I have a lot of files that I can share if interested. My dad:

Wonderful work you've done researching your father's WWII history. Inspiration for my own efforts, which are just beginning. I recently fulfilled a promise I'd made to my mother, Norine Curry Comin, to visit the gravesite of my uncle, William James Curry (her younger brother), killed during the Italian Campaign in October 1943 during the bridging and crossing of the Volturno River. He was a Corporal in Company M, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, part of VI Corps. Seeking a PDF copy of a hardcopy article I have, titled The Volturno River Crossing, by James W. Dunn, led me to your website. I'm looking forward to registering and viewing the material you've assembled providing a resource for beginners such as myself! :)

My Pappap, my mom's father Edward E. Moore, served in the 4thCompany of the Army Corps of Engineers (his discharge says attached to 4th Co. 1st Gr [or 9r?] Bn. 158th G.B. for discharge), honorably discharged in Camp Sherman, Ohio on 23 Jan 1919. I am doing some research on his service as I have his papers, a beautiful felted cloth saying "Greetings from Camp 1918 Army Corps of Engineers" and the Bible he took with him. My regards to you in your search. On my fathers side, which settled in western PA after fighting in the Revolution, I am descended from veterans from all wars but Vietnam, even the War of 1812, Sp Am war, etc. Best to you, Suzanne

Joseph Szydlowski, top row, 1st on the left, was my husband's father. He settled in southern R.I. after the war, bought a tavern and restaurant, which he ran (along with his wife, Margaret) until he died in 1974.
