Sending this along to all my 36ther's. I apologize to Bill for this letter got lost in the shuffle for several months. I don't know how that occurred, but it did. Very sorry!

If anyone has any information, please post below and I will forward to him.

Hello!

Saw and enjoyed your site.

I am trying to find out about a helmet I have, with the Liner, bearing 36th Eng insignia with a black diamond in the lower half of the shield, upon the white section.

I was told the helmet belonged to a Lt. Wilson, at least that is the grade upon the front of the helmet and liner.

The following is painted, in red, upon the back of the liner, and helmet, along the nape of the neck portion...

"W.P..I."

Great deal of work on your site. You should be commended.

Thanks

Bill Foley
