Can a few of you check this out and tell me whether or not you can view this clip? Cliff Duncan is a 540th Engineer, and his neighbor sent me an email last night to let me know that Cliff and Eloise are fine, and that he had this clip on an Ohio Historical site.

I tried to view it from several different computers within our network, and cannot view it. I get an error warning. Dang! I wrote to the webmaster to ask him what the problem might be, since I don't have problems viewing or listening to any kind of media files.

Let me know what happens for you. I hope it works for you.

----------

12:48 PM Heard back from the webmaster. The problem is not on my end.

Marion,

The problem you are encountering is that we had a server crash last week.

I have, unfortunately, been unable to allocate time to fix this issue until

sometime this week.

Aside from the online files (which are low resolution) NORWELD has all of

our interviews on normal resolution DVD- which may suit your needs better

for including clips in a documentary. I'll make sure I forward your letter

to my director, Allan Gray.

For those of you who haven't checked the What's New feature on our site, I added Cliff's interview to his own page. I have supplied two files; one is a DivX show which will run for anyone who has Windows, and also a Flash version which should run for anyone.

I was able to view the video with the Flah version (I'm at work which means 1. I'm surprised it worked and 2. I'll have to finish it later) but there was no link for the DivX version.

The DivX version is sitting right on the page, below the Flash Version, on his page. If you click on the start button and it WON'T start, then it will download the right Codec to let you view it. I am viewing it on the page as I type.

It may be that you are not allowed to download it at work, therefore you see nothing.

Oh the Flash set-up is a flv file, and it's embedded within the page and incorporates a player set up on my server. I am not calling a swf file.
