Thank you for your quick reply. I have been involved in genealogy for more than 45 year and am in the process of downsizing and looking for good homes for my "stuff".

I was doing a wide sweep of sites. If I recall correctly, it seems my father has the same timeline as something I read on your site. I have attached the picture of the 1281 Combat labeled Manila, Nov 1945. If you can make a connection to anyone in the photo, I will check the many letters my father wrote home and the many other pictures I have.
