There is a very sad reference to this place and what my father did there in his letters but I can't find any good information about what exactly happened there. Can anyone help?

Comments:
I am looking for anyone who might have served with my father, Bert McLelland, Jr. He first served with the Third in Germany in 1945-6, as an MP in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. He got his commission when Korea came along, and over there he served with the 10th FA Bn as a forward observer. His last combat tour was in 1963 as an advisor in South Vietnam.

He died in 1972, having spent the last twelve years of his life, and the first nine of mine, in the Army. I have a three-year-old son who is named for him, and since my father died when I was so young, I don't have that many first-hand stories to pass along. I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who knew him. I have a good many photos from Germany, Korea, and Vietnam which I would be glad to share.
Thanks,
Jon McLelland
