I've begun researching Lincoln's Funeral for a new lecture. It is a really interesting topic. So much of Kennedy's Washington Funeral was based on Lincoln's funeral.

Fascinating. When you really think of it, this WAS the first funeral for an assassination (of an American president). I just took a brief look. Will read more later. Am in PA right now with family in Pittsburgh. Next stop is Gettysburg on Sunday. Weather is gorgeous!!
