Thanks for your explanations and comments about the CIB.

 

I am attaching to this email two group pictures of the 36th engineer group, and have put a yellow

circle around myself.

 

We are thinking of putting up a 36th group again to parade in Southern France one of these next summers. (It was a makeshift group

organized by myself) - I have good contacts with about 6 or 7 serious guys for now and they are motivated.

 

I just found beautiful pictures of the 36th infantry Division in color in Italy, boarding the ships for Operation Dragoon.

I will send you the link as soon as the movie is uploaded.

Note the Seahorse patch. During the landing in Southern France we had an MP platoon attached to us along with almost every other category of the Army.
