Jim,
Love that photo of you in Notre Dame fan attire! 2 of my cousins are Notre Dame alum,
but I went to Boston College (go Eagles!).
I assume that Our Lady Of Grace is near the TV in order to lend her support to the Fighting Irish. I think that may be an unfair advantage Ha! ![]()
for the Irish!

Here is a picture of my grandfather, his lovely bride, and me at their house in St. Petersburg, FL. It was in 1999 I believe. Fotunately they are together again, and this time eternally.

Todd: Papa O'Brien (alias the Colonel) sure had a BIG, hearty smile. You know when I looked at that photo, I could still see the young man in the 540th. You can see the resemblance from the early photos.
That is the first time I've seen Mama O'Brien. They look like such a lovely and happy couple. That's a great pic of the three of you. One to treasure forever.

Two more of Rocky. I'll let him tell the story!
Pic. on left was taken inside an Apache Hilo. That was quite and experience to look inside and picture all the men
that rode in there going to a jump off point somewhere in the jungle in Vietnam.
Not much to say about the other pic. The stewardess spotted me and saw my cap, WW11 so shecame over
and gave me a hug and said sweetly,"Thank you for your service", so Being a gentleman I hugged her and for
a minute I couldn't breathe. That plane flew in WW11 to different places selling WAR BONDS.
This was at an Air Show in Kansas City,Mo. One thing that shook the crowd was when a P-51 Mustang flew
by the grandstand at top speed and just underneath this fighter jet flew just barely above stalling speed.
QUITE A SHOW THAT WAS. AND THE PERFUME WAS TERRIFIC. THIS "OLE DOGGIE" WUZ IN HEAVEN FOR A SHORT.

God bless those heroes who suffered and died, for plain folks, like you and me.
War is a crime. Ask the infantry and ask the dead.

Sir! You better be careful - at your age, that much excitement, and you may be in Heaven for longer than just a short while!
