It's interesting to think that the C47s and gliders might have left a UK airfield just 6 miles from where I now live.

I will be there on Sunday 11/11 for the remembrance service. Representing the RAF and the 36th Engineer Combat Regiment. (With my new pin!)

The British, Canadian and US soldiers and airmen were involved, from what was then RAF Blakehill Farm.

Colin.
