This is great information, thank you so much. :armata_PDT_37:

Tomorrow morning, 65 years ago, two of my friends set foot on French soil and .... together with thousands of other Allied soldiers, started to pave the road to our Freedom.

Never forget!

But also never forget the capture of Rome (June 5, 1944) and Midway (June 4 - 7, 1942).

Yes, today is the anniversary of the capture of ROME. An important but most overlooked day in EUROPE! Thanks for reminding everyone. This girl appreciates your attention to this. :armata_PDT_37:

Thanks again for the additional information.

I recently found out that Mike was the driver of the armored car for the S4 in the 7th Armored Division.

I am guessing the armored car in the photo is the S4 one.

Organization 7AD

S-4 officers (supply) and staff of the Squadron were:

S-4 Officer

Capt. Malcolm A. McKellar (??? - VE Day - ???)

with Squadron Headquarters 8 May 1945 [source: VE Day Roster (Squadron HQ, HQ & Service Troop, Medical Detachment)]

Armored Car Driver for S-4 Officer

Michael Klemick (??? - ???)

Just another reminder of those we've lost from the forum. For all those - Al, Art and the rest - Happy New Year to you, too, gentlemen. We still think of you.
