Using WWII veteran's names as logins on Facebook

I just posted this on Facebook. For those of you who don't use Facebook, let me briefly explain how it works.

 

Well it's similar to a forum, and just like ours, you have to pick a username. Now that's I've explained that, you will understand what I am talking about.

 

 

I'm sorry but it really bothers me when people on FB take on the names our of WWII veterans. To me this is disgraceful. I understand many of you are honoring these men, but there are many others ways to do this. As the daughter of a WWII vet, I would not be pleased to see someone logging on as my father.

 

I've talked to others in my WWII circles and they agree with me, including other veterans. So I am putting out the call to put an end to this, please. Thanks for listening.
