The 61st Engineers were part of VII Corps.

I can find no association contacts unfortunately. Sorry.

I would strongly suggest that you contact the Army Corps of Engineers and see if they can send you some history on this unit. From there you may be able to find some names. Please note that while they have an enormous amount of info on engineer units, some units may have several folders, other a scant amount of info and unfortunately a few may have nothing at all.

Please also see my suggestion under the Research section of this forum:

Good luck!

John Montesano has sent me some info on the 61st, and I am happy to share with you.

Hello Marion,

A little information on the 61st.

Still on my quest for information. How have you been?

John
