Michelle Malkin regarding Michael P Murphy

I just got down watching the family of Lt. Michael P. Murphy, who died while leading a reconnaissance mission deep behind enemy lines in Afghanistan will receive the nation’s highest military award for valor, the Medal of Honor.

As with anyone, it was very touching watching and hearing this mom, dad, brother, and one of the soldiers who was there with Michael on the recon mission.

In America today with the hoards of political incompetents touring our country. We should stop and think of great Americans like LT. Murphy.

Him and persons like him should be foremost

on our minds. They are the ones who gave all

so that todays political windbags, now enjoy their day in the the limelight. Please fellow Americans please remember and pay homage to

those who gave all. Their Souls and body for the country they loved.Rest In Peace and God Bless

you all.

With Humble Thankfulness

Amen to that, Jim! :armata_PDT_37:

There's a wonderful old Irish prayer for your parents, a prayer

of thanksgiving & appreciation, & part of it says:

"For my father, who raised me by the work of his bones..."

I think that' so perfectly expressive of the physical labor,

personal sacrifices, and gift of their very being made by our Dads.

It's an acknowledgement of the depth of their self denial for our sakes.

I've often said this prayer for my own father and also for all our

Veterans.

"For all our Veterans, who raised us ALL - the FREE people of the world,

by the work of their bones."

May God bless & watch over them all!!

Mary Ann - VERY grateful daughter of Francis Howard
