Was speaking with Mike Morgan, editor of Army Engineer Magazine, and he was sharing his views on the memorial in Bedford PA.

 

He lamented:

 

"...Yesterday I took a drive up to Bedford, VA to take pictures for a story I'm going to do on the D-Day Memorial located there. It's an absolutely wonderful setting, but not well visited, and as you probably already know, they are having a tough time staying open due to lack of funds. The design is amazing, and I was totally awed with the reality and detail in sculpture. I got lots of great photos. As I was driving back, it all reminded me of how hard it is these days to keep people focused on our past, and sacrifices made..."
