My family and I spent a marvellous weekend in Normandy for anniversary D-Day.

The sun was there !!

As soon as we arrived we went to the cemetery to pray and flower the graves of my soldiers.

As , always it's for me big moment of emotion when I give tribute to them.

The festivities organised for the anniversary of the landing .I'm sure you'd have loved it !

We met a lot of American soldiers especially pilots and paratroops .

Because they were jumping on sunday close to " Ste Mére L'église" together with French and German paratroops.

My son Arnaud ask to get a picture with them .

They did it with amusement and enthusiasm . The American soldiers are really very nice .

They gave him badges of their units of the pin' s and of the chocolate . He was very proud!

I attached the pictures

Many thanks for sharing the pictures Vee. I wish I could have been there. I will visit Normandy in August but being there on the 6th of June makes it more special.
