My condolences to the family. William, I am very sorry for your loss. We have lost another great WWII engineer... :(

Marion,

I just wanted to let you know that my father, David E. Yeager of the 157th passed away on Thursday, April 28th.

It was a very peaceful passing and he had wanted active Army to be a part of his funeral service. He had Regular Army pall bearers, and a VFW honor guard. The ceremony was just beautiful and I am sure that dad was looking down from the heavens above with a big smile on his face saying, “this is how I had wanted it to be”.

If you desire to put this information on the VI Corps web page, please feel free to do so. I have long forgotten my user name and password.

Sincerely,

William A. Yeager
