By a long route, I’ve found sketches of six officers from Col Pethick’s unit.
Maj. Leslie Gruber was my uncle and I just posted this information to my genealogy blog. http://ghertnergenealogyblog.garyghertner.com/2012/11/major-leslie-g-gruber-sketch-by-james-o-burnley/#more-7189

Good sketches. I did some of the guys I was with in 2009, but I tend to go more for the caricatures. This is one of one of the CWO5s with us in the MEF G-6. He normally did have something to say and it was normally about the limited mental capacity of the originator of the idea at hand. He did it, however, in a way that normally was funny as hell!

I love it! Gee, and who knew you had this hidden talent too. Gee, maybe I can use you for the illustrator for my children's book. Of course, I'd expect color!!!!

Some Classroom doodles:

They're not always cats, but the few that I had scanned already were. The two are Hector (loud, skinny and dumb) and Lucy (fat).
