Always sad when the last living link to an event, passes on. 109 years old. Oh the sites he has seen. Hard to imagine all the changes and turmoil his eyes have seen over a century.

Thank you for posting, Vee.

Here's to Harry! Rest in peace.

Can you imagine the changes he witnessed in his lifetime? Bless him.

God bless those heroes who suffered and died, for plain folks, like you and me.

War is a crime. Ask the infantry and ask the dead.

Harry Patch is among 30 or so British WWI Vets that were interviewed in a documentary film titled "The Last Voices of WWI", which is available in stores and bargain priced @ $5.00 or less in some stores. I just found it this week and wanted to mention it to any members with an interest in WWI history. The film consists of interviews that were done over the last 15 years to coincide with the 90th anniversary of the end of The Great War. One of the most interesting and touching documentaries I've ever seen, and I say that sincerely.

Sounds great. Will be sure to check it out. Just got back from our trip. Tired as hell, but happy and even happier for the Tigers are winning and it's the ninth inning!
