Another thing about the figure used on The History Channel...they said that it was on average, meaning that while some soldiers seldom had occasion to fire their weapons there were others who were firing them almost constantly during WWII...depending on where they were stationed and/or what the unit was assigned to do. I'm sure that most people are familiar with the way we arrive at averages, but thought I would add this to clear up any confusion. :pdt34:
