One of the finest jazz pianist/composers ever, Dave Brubeck is 90 today.
He was drafted into the US Army in 1942 and served as a member of Patton's 3rd Army in Europe till 1946.
On a personal note his 'Jazz Goes To College' was the first vinyl LP I ever bought in 1956!
