1260 Combat Engineer Battalion

I am doing a bit of research for a friend who's father was in 1260 Combat Engineer Battalion which was attached to Seventh Army. They moved from Seventh Army to Ninth Army in March 1945 and at wars end was at Dungelbeck, Germany. I have searched Google, Yahoo etc..... and have been unable to find anything on this battalion. My friend has this information from about a 15 page battalion newpaper that was put out at the time. If anyone has any information or where I can find information on the 1260th please to let me know and Thanks In Advance Danny Underwood
