Pin-up girl of all pin-up girls, Betty Grable

was the favorite among US soldiers during World War II .

If I did not mistake !!

I adore her. I like watching all his flims

Especially in how to marry a millionaire with Lauren Bacall and Marilyn Monroe

The link above brought back a lot of memories from No. Africa and Italy.

Reminds me of the German POW in Saving Private Ryan who tried to convince the Americans that he was not a nazi: "MMmmm...Betty Grable..Good Gams!"

I'm willing to bet that after 4 months on the battlefield you might have a hard time choosing between any of those women and Ma Kettle with a skillet of fried chicken and a fresh baked pie.....There's a name I bet you havent heard in a while

I had fried chicken ONCE, but I had to go out and kill it. (M1). It wasn't Ma Kettle

it was my buddy, Ken Ryan. Rocky :armata_PDT_01:

It does tend to lose some of it's charm if you have to kill it....but when it's well made, there is nothing quiete like it.

I wonder if Ken Ryan was better looking than Ma Kettle....

cold c-rationsthat chicken tasted better than a t-bone steak. Ken was from

Okla. He knew how to skin a chicken and cook it. He and I went thru hell

Cant help but wonder how long it took Europe to get back their chicken stock. God knows we must have eaten most of them during the war. And enjoyed them.
