Once again - it's been a long time. So I did finally find a job in Texas, which is where I remain. I currently work at Lockheed Martin as a subcontract manager. That means I facilitate setting up contracts with suppliers to obtain parts for the two MLRS rocket launchers, the M270 and HIMARS.
The M270 is on the left and HIMARS is on the right. It's very challenging with all of the supply chain issues that we've had in the last few years. Frankly, it's surprising these things ever get built with the amount of parts and parts of parts these things have. But get built, they do, and have been proving themselves around the world - and in a current warzone.
I'll write more later, but wanted to get this out.
Congrats to M1 for getting the website updated and republished. It's a real labor of love that serves to archive the thoughts and stories of the vets we had on board when I first joined the forum in 2007 (19 years ago?!!)
A recent picture - in my happy place!
