I put you photos artifical port of arromanches I took during a stroll by boat.I could not take exactly the same angle sorry.

 

You will see certain caissons are still in good condition, others less or completely destroyed .

PS: Marion, to answer your question . when we go to Normandy my husband becomes very very grazy :blink::wacko: . Because , it's me driving B) . Then , I stop when I want and or I want ! For to take pictures and I can remain of hours there . :D

You went by boat to see them from a short distance? Never done that by myself. Very interesting. Was it your own boat or did you hire one in Arromanches?

We have our own personal tour guide, without leaving the warmth of our homes. I'm getting very spoiled! Je l'aime !

 

What is so fascinating, is the fact so many things remain the same. Even the words on the buildings!
