One comment on all this rhetoric,I see here on D-Day.There but for the Grace of God-Go I.

Be thankful you made it home from this terrible conflict.By the way anyone know what outfit

got the most 3 day passes in WW2. A prayer in remberance of all invasions and those who gave all, would be appropiate.

Here's to THAT D-Day and all the preparation, man power, perserverance, determination, loss of life, fortitude, and everything it takes to push a venture this great. To all who were there. :14_1_107v:

Vee, looks like you had a marvelous time with Moose in Normandy. Bravo! Love the photo of you in the foxhole. You look like a natural with the Garand. :pdt12: And Moose was having a good ol' time with the beer. Oh Moose! :frown:

Beautiful photographs. Your son looks like he was very proud to have his picture taken with all the vets of past and present, and the reenactors.

Thanks for sharing all that. So happy you two finally got to meet, and at such an historic and sacred place.

What a fantastic series of photos. Moose and your son look so cute together. I've always loved a man in uniform.

Received this from my 82nd Airborne buddy, Howard Huebner. I am very proud of you Howard. Way to go boy!

BETTY AND AND I WERE INVITED TO HOUSTON, TEXAS TO GIVE A SPPECH ABOUT D-DAY. THEY FLEW US OVER. IT WAS A ONE NIGHT STAY. ENOUGH OF HOUSTON TOO BIG. WE HAD A GOOD FLIGHT BOTH WAYS. THEY SAID IT WAS THE BIGGEST CROWD THEY HAVE EVER HAD. IT WAS IN AN OLD HOUSE OF YEARS AGO. A BIG ONE - LIVING ROOM ABOUT 40 X 60 FT. WE HAD A GOOD TIME AND I DIDN'T PUT ANYONE TO SLEEP. GOT A STANDING OVATION. I'M STILL ON CRUTCHES AND WHEN A GAL WHEELED ME TO THE PLANE SHE WANTED TO KNOW WHERE I WAS GOING AND I TOLD HER. SHE SAID YOU GOT TO TALK TO THE CAPTAIN, AND HE WAS WAITING FOR ME AND WE CHATTED A BIT. WHILE ON THE TARMACK HE ANOUNCED WE HAVE A CELEBRITY ON BOARD, A PARATROOPER WHO JUMPED INTO NORMANDY AND I GOT A LOUD APPLAUSE. WHAT A TRIP...

HOWARD

Great pic's V!! I'm so jealous!! Hopefully I could make it out there some time. Doesn't look like next year is going to work, being in Iraq and all, but maybe sometime. Can't wait to see more photos.

Dear Vee,

LOVED YOUR PHOTOS! Thank you for sharing them with us. Some of them (of the elderly Vets) was almost too much. I Thank God for every day we still have them among us. I only wish it could be Forever...and I mean all of them, not just the men who took part in the invasion of Normandie. Again, Thank You for those wonderful photos!
