Unfortunately we lost Ed Saraniero on December 4th. I was hoping you could pass the info along to the VI community.
Ed was a Sgt in Company A of the 48th Combat Engineers Battalion. A few years ago he had sent you a copy of his memoirs which you have on your site.

Ed was a gentle soul and would call me from time to time, just to chat. I really cherished those phone calls and of course his letters and info regarding the war. Rest in peace, gentle soul.
