Admiral W. Lewis Glenn, Jr., the youngest Commanding Officer of the Battleship New Jersey (BB-62), died on May 15, 2012 while surrounded by his family at the Carriage Club Nursing Home in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was 71.

 

Admiral Glenn will be interred with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

An obituary is planned for the 1 July 2012 issue of The Jerseyman.
